Rankin Live

This evening me and my friend Marilou went down to see Rankin Live. A large-scale exhibition/event at The Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane.

Running up to the event Rankin chose 1000 people out of the many that applied, to come down and have their portrait taken by him. The photograph is then instantly displayed to create a huge spontaneous exhibition.

Alongside the live element, the exhibition also showed a huge selection of his work over the past 22 years, including the many phoographs he has taken of celebrities. (view some here)

I absolutly loved it! Unfortunatly we were not allowed to use cameras anywhere inside the exhibition.. boo. But check out these websites for more infomation about Rankin himself and the exhibition.

There is also an old skool black & white photobooth for you to have your photo taken to then stick up on one of the walls to be part of the exhibition too!
